But yes, here it is... I would love it if you could help me correct it (grammar, word order, articles and so on, there's heaps of possible things I could make mistakes with! XD ). I've seperated the sentences so you can more easily find your way through. *Usually, it is simply "der Prater", but for an explanation it might be better to say "das Tivoli Prater", as you did. Depends whether the idea is you writing about a place nobody knows anything about or whether they know a few things and know what the Prater is.
As for writing more, I checked a book we have about Vienna. It is not only the capital, but also a province (ein Bundesland) of Austria. Vienna is also famous for the "Kaffeehaus", the café. OK, there are many of them, not only one, but they are one of these things people know about Vienna, places to sit and have coffee (they have lots of different varieties) and maybe have a piece of the also famous "Sachertorte" a chocolate cake that was, I think, invented in Vienna. Drop me a line if you need more information or more help, I don't know how much you have to write, so I can't say whether you have enough or not.
oops, I didn't proofread my own stuff and missed some: "Oper" in German, without the a in the end. "Konzerte" instead of "Konzerten. "Lipizzaner" with only one p, and you don't have to put "pferde" in the end. (that has the advantage that you don't have to worry about the Kasus. The word Lipizzaner is always the same - at least in plural. The "n" in Lipizzanerpferden would be wrong, the Akkusativ plural of Pferd is "die Pferde".)

Do you use wie as the English like or as? We've kind of learnt that we should use relativ prounouns (der, den, dem/die, die, der/das, das, dem/die, die, denen), when we say "like" or "as", not wie... Although I think it sounds right with wie. XD I'm not questioning your German skill or anything like that, I'm just trying to make everything clear for myself. :)
Well, I can't really tell you the correct words for the grammatical rules and forms. I never was good in explaining grammar. I used populäre because of the word "Touristenattraktion. So my explanation was wrong. It is die Attraktion, and "populär" has to have the same gender as the noun it describes. For the second paragraph: I use "wie" in the sense of "like". I could also have said "wie zum Beispiel",maybe that would be clearer. It is not the "how" or "what" type of "wie". (If I get the term right, it should be a "Konjunktion" here, but as I said, the correct terminology in grammar never was my strong side.) Hope that helps.

OK, I've mentioned the "e"s in my other repply, so here just about the time: We do have a similar expression, ut it would be "mit der Zeit gehen" So "...auch eine moderne Stadt, die mit der Zeit gegangen ist" if you want to emphasize more that the city has done it until now, or "...auch eine moderne Stadt, die mit der Zeit geht" if you want to say that the town does it. I'd prefer the second version. I like this ending better than the other one, I think, because your first version didn't sound that much like an ending to your speech, this one kind of wraps it up.

*g* As long as they are grammatically correct, I don't think your teacher should have much to say against cliché endings. With the topics teachers usually give for essays, you can't do much else than write clichés in the first place. *L*

This indicates a less formal version of conversation, more chatting than talking. Ahhh, there's a genitiv there... :p I haven't really learnt genitiv, I've just read about it (no one in my class would understand it anyway, so I guess my teacher don't even want to try to teach it to us!), and I'm not exactly sure when or how to use it! I know the articles for it though! :P Des, des, der, der and then you add -(e)s at the end of maskulinum and neutrum (sp?), don't you?

Well, even most Germans don't use the Genitiv anymore. Which is a pity because it isn't that hard. It is used to indicate possessions. In your example, The United Nation's office. Or Tuva's coat - Tuvas Mantel. Or if you change the word order, office of the United Nations - Büro der Vereinten Nationen. Der Mantel der Tuva would be rare, as we don't put articles to names, usually. It would be Der Mantel von Tuva. Either way, the question to ask to know which word is Genitic would be "Wessen?" (Whose) Whose office? The United Nation's office. Whose coat? Tuva's. Do you learn these questions? It is "Wer oder Was?" for Nominativ, "Wessen?" vor Genitiv, "Wem?" vor Dativ and "Wen oder Was?" for Akkusativ. Also, "wegen" demands Genitiv. "Wegen des Regens" - because of the rain. But here, most Germans simply use Dativ and say "Wegen dem Regen." It isn't that nice and not quite correct, but common. The question in this case, of course, would not be "Wessen?" but "Weswegen". OK, enough grammar. Too late for that anyway. Sorry about that. *hugs*

On the page with the medium sie dolls, I really like the one sitting with her head resting on her hands. You gave her that dreamy look, and that's really cute. I was wondering whether she could have a little mischievous grin, too? But I' not sure whether it would work for an icon, because of the size... The other one I think is totally cool is the one right underneath the first one, just the head. I love the angry look in the eyes. But they are all so pretty, it's really hard to say which I like best. Some of the small dolls really look like actresses at the oscar ceremonies. So cool!

Also, "wegen" demands Genitiv. "Wegen des Regens" - because of the rain. But here, most Germans simply use Dativ and say "Wegen dem Regen." It isn't that nice and not quite correct, but common. The question in this case, of course, would not be "Wessen?" but "Weswegen".

On the page with the medium sie dolls, I really like the one sitting with her head resting on her hands. You gave her that dreamy look, and that's really cute. I was wondering whether she could have a little mischievous grin, too? But I' not sure whether it would work for an icon, because of the size...
The other one I think is totally cool is the one right underneath the first one, just the head. I love the angry look in the eyes.
But they are all so pretty, it's really hard to say which I like best. Some of the small dolls really look like actresses at the oscar ceremonies. So cool!

I really can't decide which one of those I like best. They are very different in style and expression.
I guess I would leave that decision up to you. :-)
As for colors and hair, I'm going to post some pictures of me, so if there could be some similarity. that would be great. Nothing special, really. Brown hair, brown eyes. Pretty normal. :-)
