"I'm sorry I dropped you, but I had to save the Declaration of Independence."

"That is alright, I would have done the same for you."

WHat a way to declare your love.
Those are two lines from "National Treasure" (Roughly translated back into English, as I watched it in German).
I watched that movie and I really liked it. The story was no less believable than the Indiana Jones (and some James Bond) stories. The dialogues were great, the love story (it seems impossible to make an American movie without a love story) was not overly taking attention away from the "real" plot.
This particular dialogue got stuck in my mind. Such a nice change from all those "I can't live without you!" "I love you!" stuff.

Still has nothing on The Empire Strikes Back:

"I love you!"
"I know."

How true. I get so tired of couples hooking up in all sorts of films that aren't even remotely romantic. Why bother? It takes up valuable screen time and deters from the original plot. And it's so cliched.

Husband and I would love to see "National Treasure". It's tough for us to obtain a sitter for our little boy (because I'm a nervous wreck and won't let anyone watch him). I think I'd like to see "Oceans Twelve" also.

You can always ait until they're out on DVD. Doesn't take long these days.

Have you changed your user name? Avoided capture by using the Mak'tar stealth haze
Where's that from?

That phrase is from Galaxy Quest. There's this alien guy that follows Alan Rickman's character around. The two are fighting the evil!aliens and Rickman's character sees the little alien guy hanging on the ceiling. He says "What are you doing up there?" and the little alien says "I avoided capture using the Mak'tar stealth haze." Alan Rickman's character is supposed to be a Mak'tar and for some reason, I think that phrase is hilarious...especially Rickman's wonderful eyerolling response.
