That's the title of one of the funniest books I have ever bought. Thanks to a tiny bookstore in Bucksport, Maine, and the appointment at the hairdresser's my friend had, leaving me all alone to browse through said bookstore.
Officially, I bought the book for my brother. I ended up reading it just as much myself as he does.
Where else could you find sentences like these:
Prehistory, a subject mainly studied by anthroapologists, was prior to the year 1500.
The pyramids were large square triangles built in the desert. O'Cyrus, a god who lived in a piramid, would give you the afterlife if your sole was on straight.
King Xerox of Persia invaded Greace, but fell off short at the battle of Thermosalami.
After his death the English church used Thomas Becket as a mortar.
macchiavelli, who was often unemployed, wrote "The Prince" to get a job with Richard Nixon.
German unity was acheaved by William I coupling with Bismark.
Mohammed Gandi was the last British ruler of India.
My absolute favorite, though, is a more recent event: The Berlin Mall was removed
Actually, it probably isn't funny but sad.
It is a College teacher who put the stuff together, but I think it doesn't cast a good light on history lessons and teachers either.
But usually, I just find it hilarious. I know, I'm mean.
