So. My knee is a bit better. I can walk on even ground with only a very slight limp. I can walk up stairs fairly well. It hurts to push my body up with that leg, but it's alright.
Going down stairs is agony. I could of course try to only use my left leg and not put any pressure on the right leg at all, but if I did that the knee would just become stiff and I'd have more trouble than now.
Tobias offered yesterday to drive me home on Wednesday night (quite a detour for him), but I think I'll decline. I want my own car if I am home alone for four days (parents are on a bike tour and I need to watch the dog) and also he's going to go pretty late and I already missed CSI last week, I don't want to miss it this week.
(And whoever does anything to make me miss it next week is going to DIE! - Quentin Tarantino episodes on the 31st.)
Having a pity bonus with the sergeant, I might actually get off a bit earlier Wednesday, which would be really nice.

Yesterday I was so depressed and feeling sucky that I called Mom which of course didn't make me feel better at all as she was busy and had no time to talk to me.
And then I read my only novel for depressed single women - Maeve Haran. I think I am going to read another one tonight, good thing that Katrin donated them to the library by the dozen so I can take it with me without anybody noticing I read that stuff.

Being a reasonable person if I need to, I did neither kill Katrin this morning nor told her it was all her fault. I am still rather annoyed because she also took her lunch break without telling me and she keeps asking the captain directly for vacation, without informing me, and that frankly sucks, but me hurting my knee was just my own bloody stupidity.

Also, the major came in today to tell me that according to the general chances are good for me staying here after October. They're both really careful to not get my hopes up too high though, and I appreciate that. I will still look for another job in June or July.

I picked up a film from the photo store today. I had found it a while ago and had no idea what it was. Turned out to be a few pictures of Munich. (That was November 2004!) and Regensburg and some shots of wolflady26's area.

My contract runs out in October. It's quite usual these days to get a contract that's limited to a fairly short period of time. Two years actually is the best thing I could get.

Wow. I can try and convince my library director to set you up with an internship here in the USA some time 2007 (we have an intern from Korea till the start of 2007), but I think I have a slim chance of success. Which, as far as I am concerned sucks, becuase I'd like to meet you :-)
