Post seven guilty pleasures that others may/may not know about. Not just simply listing 'chocolate' or 'sex'... something specific. And then, tag three people whose guilty pleasures you want to know, and why.

1. paperback novels, the kind the drugstores sell (yes, I know that's almost a line from a song)
Those novels usually have no more than 128 pages, they are mostly about sex with a side of finding your One True Love. They take about an hour to read and therefore are perfect before going to bed. Yes, they are nothing like good books, but they do the trick.
I have a stack of them next to my bed and buy new ones from time to time, when I feel I know the old stories by heart.

2. stationary. I adore stationary. I love to browse through the stores and look at all the different sorts of files and coloured tabs and sticky notes and pens and everything. Since I left school, I've limited the number of things I buy to only a little more than strictly necessary, but I still love to go to stationary shops.

3. flirting. It's an addiction. Once I started flirting with guys who would flirt back, I found it hard to stop.

4. physical fitness. All they say about the endorphins that flood your system after a good workout is true. Also, I love watching people with good figures. Guys, mostly, because watching girls in better shape than me makes me feel self-conscious. But a nice sixpack, muscular arms and strong legs - yum!

5. starring in my own stories. I am Mary Sue at her best. Happily, at least for you guys, I rarely write down those stories.

6. getting asked for dates. It's still a bit of a novelty for me, and I just love it. I'm totally thrilled if a guy asks me out. Now all I need to learn is how to actually accept and go out with them...

7. because there has been no foodstuff before: the cookies you can get at Subway's. They remind me of America because they taste a lot like to cookies I ate there. I could eat one everytime I pass a shop, but I try not to, because I'm sure they have more calories than an average meal.

Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

And [livejournal.com profile] jonthedull tagged me to list 8 random facts:
Here are the rules:
• Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
• People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
• At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
• Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

1. I have a set routine in the mornings and I hate it when it's disturbed.
2. I let only a few select people come to my place. My flat is my own.
3. I randomly quote from songs or books, which can be tricky if I put an English quote into a German conversation.
4. If people laugh in my presence, I wonder whether they laugh about me.
5. I am unable to do smalltalk. I'd rather be silent.
6. I like to play patience games like solitaire in all its many variations.
7. When listening to music, I pay attention to the lyrics.
8. I enjoy helping other people clean their houses, but I don't really like to clean mine.
