Last night, I came up with a conversation that would go something like this: She: you really shouldn't be so picky or you'll never find a partner. Me, ponderously: I don't really see why I need a partner, actually. She: But you surely want to be in a relationship! [I'm skipping the no-kids part here, because thankfully the majority of my family has finally accepted that if I say I don't want kids, I don't like kids, I really mean it.] Me: What for? She: Companionship, conversations, sex Me: Online-Friends, Internet, one-night-stands? She: ...
