The funny icons seem to come out of the woodwork now.
shelly_ellie uses a wonderfully funny line of HBP. *ROFL*
Running yesterday showed me it's not good not to do anything for weeks. But I wasn't as bad as I feared I would be. I wanted to go the 8 kilometre course, but at some point there were no more signs and several ways. I took one, later found a sign again, but still ended up near castle Saaleck before making my way back to what I knew was the official trail on what I supposed was the official trail.
Only it was definitely not part of the 8 km course, as that desn't go all the way to Saaleck. Only the 11 km course does, and I wasn't on that for all the way. So I decided I went something in between, and as I took an hour I think 10 kilometres sounds nice.
Of course, my dear triathletic brother would tell me 10 kilometres per hour is dead slow, but I think as the average speed of the people I work with *coughKatrincough* seems to be -1 km/h, I'm doing okay.
I finished the newspaper clippings of another two years. Go me. If I keep doig two years a day, including Friday, Saturday and Sunday, even though we have a farewell party for a colleauge tomorrow afternoon and a bike tour next week - meaning if I do insane extra hours some other days to compendate for that - I can get up to 1990 by Friday before I leave for vacation. That means I will have only 1991 to 1993 and 1997 to 1998 after the vacation. Still I'm going to take ages, but I don't see how I can get any more done each day.
Instead of having my predecessor calling me 6 times in half an hour, like he did yesterday, I had one of the doctors call 4 times in 15 minutes. Talk about bad planning. If you can't remember all the things you want to ask for about five minutes at the max - and I answer the phone after the first ring usually, sitting right next to it at my desk - make an effing note for yourself.
I'm boring you to death, I know. But if I have to die so young from sheer overworked boredom, I'm taking with me as many as I can.
kaitkaitkait, you can't believe how much I look forward to my vacation. Be forewarned I am similarly - if not more - talkative in person. :-)
