If you were to pick a song as your 'theme song', what would it be? Someone else brought up the question and it piqued my interest. Or, put another way--is there a song that you believe represents you and I should listen to that song so that I can better appreciate who you are?

Got this from [livejournal.com profile] altonwings. I chose Let me sleep beside you, David Bowie (who'd have guessed) because it contains the perfect line.
"You could not imagine that it could happen this way, could you?"
Instructions:
1. Post a list of 10 TV fandoms/shows you follow (current or canceled!)
2. Have your friends list guess your favorite CHARACTER from each show
3. When guessed bold the line
4. Post in your own livejournal

See if I can get together ten shows.
1. CSI --> Grissom ([livejournal.com profile] pandora_nervosa)
2. CSI: Miami --> Alexx ([livejournal.com profile] pandora_nervosa)
3. The Nanny named Fran (Die Nanny in German TV) --> Niles (still [livejournal.com profile] pandora_nervosa)
4. Hogan's Heroes (Ein Käfig voller Helden) --> Hogan (and more [livejournal.com profile] pandora_nervosa)
5. Ally McBeal --> Ling (guessed by [livejournal.com profile] correspondguy)
6. Crossing Jordan --> Nigel (found out by [livejournal.com profile] cleverusername2)
7. Sex and the City --> Samantha (and guess who got that? [livejournal.com profile] pandora_nervosa)
8. Star Trek original series --> Spock ([livejournal.com profile] lucie_p and [livejournal.com profile] pandora_nervosa once again. Seems I am easy to see through for her.)
9. Star Trek Voyager
10. Star Trek DS 9

The Matrix

Today I watched The Matrix. Yeah, for the first time.
I had seen Matrix Revolutions in the theater and it was one of the worst things I had ever seen, the story was lame even without the knowledge of the first two parts, I was not at all impressed by the special effects nor by the actors. Lame.
So I never felt the need to watch the earlier films in the trilogy until one guy at work kept telling me how great the original movie was, and the guys from video production, even though not liking the story or the idea, marvelled at the special effects, so I finally gave in an borrowed the DVD.

And boy, that movie is great!
I really enjoyed it, one of the few films I have seen lately that definitely was worth watching. Somehow, I expected a phone to ring and take me out of the matrix after I watched it. I am very much surprised by Keanu Reeves, I had never really seen him as much of an actor before, just another pretty boy who was dragged in front of a camera. Laurence Fishburne of course I expected to be good.
The special effects were cool, I actually watched a bit of the making of even though I usually don't like my illusions to be spoiled, but this time I was simply too curious to find out how they did it. Especially the dodging bullets thing. (Though I don't see why they have to call it "Bullet Time". Reminds me too much of "Hammertime" and who would really want to be reminded of something like MC Hammer?)

It's a pity they had to make sequels to it. This one movie with the ending as open and promising as it is, would have been way better off standing alone.
OMG, I think I missed that...
