Jul. 15th, 2004

Yesterday turned out to be a great day. OK, the time until noon, when I had my exam, passed terribly slow and I don't like to feel that nervous, just sitting around somewhere and killing time, but after that it got pretty cool.
I had lunch with my favorite fellow student, and had something to brag about to my family and friends. I got a present.
I went to see my Grandma and wanted to install the telephone we bought for her birthday, but couldn't because it is necessary to move a gigantic closet to reach the outlet. Made me wonder who designed that apartment. But anyway, so my uncle will have to explain to my Grandma how that phone works. Does spare me a lot of trouble.
Then I went home and apart from being called on the cellphone while going 140 km per hour on the Autobahn (no, I decided not to take the call but leave the highway and call back), the ride went well. There was some construction going on, but traffic wasn't so bad to really create a traffic jam.
In the evening, my parents took me to my favorite Italian restaurant, where we had a special table. Usually, some guys dressed in dark suits sit there who are always served first no matter how busy the restaurant is (haha - the Family...)
Anyway, our waiter was really funny, flirting both with me and my mother, playing pranks on his colleagues and things. I had so much fun!
I had the intention of sleeping late today, but woke up at seven. I had a weird dream, too. I was cleaning up our attic with one of the professors who examined me yesterday, packing away toys and children's books. The strange thing was, even though it was rather dusty, he wore a dark suit and never got dirty. I wonder what a psychologist would have to say about that.
I had several emails this morning - I love to get emails - including comments to what I wrote yesterday. Thank you to everybody who congratulated!
Reading the Focus magazine this morning, I found an interview with Michael Moore and an interesting article on the economic situation in Germany compared to that of other nations and the problems that come with too much political control. (I know somebody who will not agree on that if he gets around to read my journal *gg*)
So all in all, this day has the potential to be pretty good. We'll see what it brings...
Songs that seem to turn out to be my favorite DB songs:
Cactus
When I live my dream
Station to Station
Jump they say
Miracle Goodnight
A friend send me the following links:
'Ashcrofted' anyone?
and
something on Iraq
and
What summer has to do with Marlon Brando and longer work days.
These last two links are in German, so beware...
Also, tonight there's The man who fell to earth on TV. So anybody who bothers me between 8:45 and something like 10 or 11 will be sadly missed by all his relatives and friends.
